Results are presented which indicate the effect of pH and flotation‐collector type upon the flotation rates of natural rutile particles. Above pH ∼2.5, flotation rate decreases with increasing pH for anionic collectors and increases with increasing pH for a cationic collector.
2018-10-4 In this study, the effects of anionic/cationic collector mixtures on surface tension (γ) were investigated as a function of pH using the pendant drop method. For the tests, long-chain tallow amine and petroleum sulfonate, which are the most common anionic and cationic flotation collectors, were used individually and as binary mixtures with different mixing ratios.
2012-11-22 in case of anionic collectors quartz is not floated in the pH range studied and the maximum recovery about 25% is attained even at higher concentration (≥10-4. M). In general, the flotation recovery of hematite increases with increasing the concentration both in case of cationic as well as anionic collector (refer Figure 2B).
2015-8-10 Flotation Collectors. Simply said; a Flotation Collectors is a chemical used to make the surface of minerals, which is metallic, hydrophobic or in layman’s term
2018-3-19 The research on anionic and cationic mixed collectors for spodumene flotation is at the early stage (Xu et al., 2016). In the present work, a mixture of oleic acid and dodecylamine, named YOA, was applied in spodumene flotation. The flotation tests were conducted for pure minerals and a real ore.

2011-9-14 The reverse anionic flotation was conducted without desliming, which appears to support the claim by Houot (1983). Since the investigation of reverse anionic flotation by U.S. Bureau of Mines (Wasson et al., 1963), a variety of new ether amine collectors have been developed for iron ore flotation.
The flotation response of both quartz and hematite with cationic and anionic collectors in isolation and with mixed cationic / anionic collector systems was evaluated as well. The flotation
2015-7-6 Anionic collectors consist of two types according to the structure of the polar group: sulfhydryl type and oxyhydryl type. The term sulfhydryl refers to the SH group present in undissociated form of the collector
Anionic collector attaches to phosphate by chemical bonding (chemisorption) and to quartz by physical bonding (physisorption). The physisorption on quartz is caused by calcium and magnesium ions in the water which activate the quartz surface. These two mechanisms provide a sound technical basis for the empirical practice of high solids

2019-6-1 In this work, the flotation separation of enstatite and magnetite was investigated using mixed cationic collector cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) and anionic collector sodium oleate (NaOL). The micro-flotation experiments were conducted on single minerals and mixture minerals with pure and mixed collectors.

2013-7-18 The smithsonite mineral has weak response to flotation in the presence of KAX alone as a collector. The presence of KAX enhanced the amine flotation recovery in the presence of sodium sulphide. The flotation results using mixed collectors showed the maximum recovery and contact angle were 95·5% and 104° at pH 12 respectively.

2010-10-27 Collectors play an important role in effecting selective separation of minerals from ores by flotation. Anionic collector and cationic col-lector are effective collectors of talc flotation. Aero 825 is an anionic collector, petroleum sulfonate promoters most widely used for flotation of metallic and industrial minerals. Tallow Amine Acetate (T
Flotation is usually employed to remove silicate as the main impu-rities frommanyore types, especiallyiron ores. Ironoxides canbecon-centrated either by direct flotation, using anionic collectors, or reverse flotation of siliceous gangue with both cationic and anionic collectors [2,1]. Studies showed that the flotation recovery and
